Where did you get your training?
I received my Master’s of Science in Community Counseling at Seattle Pacific University, and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UW. I have also taken extensive classes in alcohol and drug curriculum at Bellevue Community College.
What is your approach in counseling?
My training is predominately in cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and systems or family theories. I have trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have completed Level I training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I have also attended workshops and studied the work of Dr. Daniel Amen.

What is your specialty?
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Employee Assistance Professional, I have provided services for a wide range of issues: stress management, communication skills, marital/relationship issues/conflict, grief and loss, survivors of physical, emotional and sexual abuse/assault, depression and anxiety, alcohol and drug problems and assessments, workplace issues, anger and parenting.
Other interests include:
Spending time with my family, singing on the worship team in my church, photography, gardening, and snorkeling.
